The hinges are hand-made since there are no accurate reproductions available. The screws are period- correct "flat-head" and all of the hardware is attached using square nuts inside of counter-sunk holes, just like the originals. It has been adapted into a SMG Crate, complete with gun cradle w/ inserts, and two pockets that hold a total of six clips. This crate can be adapted for most SMGs, and can be stenciled to order. Fallschirmjager Gravity Knife Lanyard: Hand-made braided cotton gravity knife lanyard. Includes brass clip fitting from Italy. German FJs were issued a simple single cotton rope lanyard with each gravity knife. Many FJs opted to make ornate braided lanyards out of either cotton rope or parachute material.
